AFJROTC ACADEMIC BOWL – Park View High School Air Force Junior ROTC Cadets, “Team Dragon,” competed recently in the AFJROTC Academic Bowl. Cadets Ned Ogburn (seated) and left to right standing Stephen Crossman, Ben Carter and Ashley Murray, were selected from cadets in the Park View High School ROTC Program to compete in the nationwide scholastic event based on their scholastic records. Questions in this Internet-based Level One of the Challenge included 25 percent from the JROTC curriculum, 65 percent from SAT/ACT-type questions, and 10 percent from current events. Park View High School is one of 220 schools across the nation competing. Results from Level One will be released after the holidays and those teams that qualify will continue on to Level Two. The final championship round includes an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. (PVHS photo)

ROTC HELPS ANGEL TREE – Park View High School Air Force Junior ROTC cadets sponsored two children from the Angel Tree this holiday season. Cadets volunteered to bring in three large gift bags of toys, clothes, and other gifts for the young boy and girl.
