Antonio Patterson, September Citizen of the Month


Antonio DeVantay Patterson has been selected as Park View High School’s Citizen of the Month for October 2012. He is a 10th grade student enrolled in the Associate’s Degree program. Antonio is the son of Latina Patterson of South Hill, Virginia. He is the grandson of Wayne and Corrine Goode. Antonio was nominated for Citizen of the Month by several teachers. Mrs. Wendy Kidd stated that he is, “a joy to teach, possesses a strong mind, intense creativity, and an enjoyment of life that anyone around him finds contagious. Antonio’s wonderful work –presented with a smile, his ample participation, and his own commentary concerning literature always made class enjoyable.” Antonio is a member of the SGA, FBLA, and the Park View Dragon football team. He attends Greater New Life. In his spare time, Antonio enjoys spending time with family and friends. When informed of the committee’s choice, Antonio stated, “I am very surprised and happy!” Even though he has a more years at Park View High, he has already thought about his future. He would like to attend William & Mary and major in Psychology and minor in Economics. He hopes to one day be a stellar Psychologist and travel the world.
